- Elimination of most spotting on glassware, dishes and flatware.
- Whiter and brighter laundry, while using up to 50% less detergent.
- Elimination of hard water residue in fabrics, which can help clothing last longer.
- Reduced scale build-up in pipes, and lower energy consumption due to reduced scale build-up in hot water heaters, dishwashers and other water using appliances.
- Less detergents, soaps and cleaning agents necessary for household chores, which saves you time, money and water.
- Decreased amount of cleaning agents and excess water going down the drain and back into your community’s ground water and/or water system.
Butler Water Systems offers the most trusted water softeners in the water treatment industry. The EcoWater 3500 series has more third party certifications than any other water softeners. The 3500 series is the only line of water softeners that has two gold seal certifications for water softening and water refining. The control panel and remote control system has been tested and certified by the FCC and has been certified has having a zero carbon footprint. The series also offers the best warranty for piece of mind!

Butler Water Systems offers a broad selection of softeners using the ultra popular Fleck 5600,5600SXT, and 6700 water softener control valve. All of the Fleck softeners are metered systems meaning the softener regenerates based on water use. Fleck Water softeners are renowned for their durability, ease of installation, and ease of programming. We are proud to offer Fleck water softeners that are Made in North America for added confidence and performance.
A few reasons to install a Fleck Softener from Butler Water Systems:
- We install high grade carbon and resin. Not the industry standard filtration medium
- We add additional warranties for consumer confidence
- Many options that normally have additional charges come standard with our systems
Reverse Osmosis
Reverse osmosis refers to a chemical treatment process for water. The process forces water through specialized membranes and exerts a certain amount of pressure on it to remove foreign contaminants, solid substances, large molecules and minerals. Reverse osmosis is a water purification system used around the world to help improve water for drinking and cooking
Butler Water Systems offers a variety of installed reverse osmosis (RO) drinking water purification systems designed to remove contaminants from the water your family drinks. An installed reverse osmosis water treatment system can be tucked away under the kitchen counter or in the basement.
Below are a few examples of Reverse Osmosis Units we offer.
ERO 375
The EcoWater ERO 375 Series reverse osmosis systems will provide high-quality water for worry-free drinking and cooking. These state-of-the-art filters will improve the quality of water from wells or municipal supplies a like.
Features of the ERO 375 drinking water purification system:
- Block carbon pre-filter for the removal of sediment, chlorine taste and odor.
- Enclosed filter for quick, dry, easy, twist on/off filter changes.
- Carbon post-filter to remove tastes and odors.
- High-volume, semi-permeable membrane.
- Unique and elegant chrome or brushed nickel faucet styles.
- Electronic monitoring system indicates when the filters and membrane need to be changed (available on two models).
- The HERO 375 RO offers the ability to connect to EcoWater’s 3500 Series Water Conditioner/Refiner remote monitor with HydroLink® technology.
Ratings and Certifications of the ERO 375 drinking water purification system:
- Tested and Certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 58 by NSF International.
- Rated at 50 psi, 77F, 750 ppm/TDS, product to storage tank.
NRO5-50
The Nelsen 4 and 5 stage, 50 gallon a day Reverse Osmosis systems feature double o-ring housings and a clear pre-filter housing for quick inspection of the sediment filter. Also features a 3.2 gallon NSF approved storage tank. This system utilizes 1/4" quick connect fittings, 1/4" tubing, housing wrench, and a long-reach lead free faucet.
Reverse Osmosis with Permeate Pump
Powered only by the hydraulic energy of brine water usually lost to the drain (i.e. no electricity required), the Permeate Pump forces product water into the storage tank, reducing membrane back pressure and maximizing available feed pressure. These pumps dramatically improve the efficiency of R.O. water production, reducing wastewater by up to 80%.
This pump can also bring storage tanks up to line pressure and then shut the system down when these tanks reach capacity, eliminating the need for a hydraulic shut-off valve.
Other benefits include:
- Higher delivery pressures, faster R.O. water production, superior water quality, and extended filter/membrane life.
- Fills product tank up to 4 times more rapidly than conventional RO
- No loss of recovery during the filling cycle
- Better quality water out of your System
- Saves up to 85% of the water that normally goes to drain
- Allows a greater tank pressure, up to 95% of line pressure
- Effective for inlet water pressure as low as 30 psi
- Increases membrane life, lowers “TDS creep”
- Requires no electricity, powered by energy from brine water

Ultra Violet Water Treatment
The UV disinfection process is a non-chemical method for destroying microorganisms by altering their genetic material, and rendering them unable to reproduce.
There are several advantages of using UV rather than a chemical disinfection solution (such as chlorination):
- No known toxic or significant nontoxic byproducts
- No danger of overdosing
- Does not require storage of hazardous material
- Adds no smell to the final water product
- Requires very little contact time
Applications include private wells, campgrounds, hotels, bottlers, aquaculture, hospitals, food, cottages, restaurants, breweries, water systems, laboratories, marine, pharmaceutical, dairies and many other applications.
Whole Home Filtration
The EcoWater Central Chloramine/Chlorine Water System provides filtered water throughout your entire home.
During normal operation, the water flows through several filtration processes where sediments, chlorine taste and other contaminants that adversely affect taste and odor are reduced.
A clean rinse cycle is automatically initiated based on the amount of water that has been filtered, or after 14 days, whichever comes first. During this cycle, the media bed is rejuvenated and sediments are flushed down the drain.
Features of the Central Water System
- Delivers clean filtered water to every faucet in your home.
- Water flows through several filtration processes.
- Chloramine, chlorine taste and other adverse contaminants that affect taste and odor are reduced.
- Prevents sediment particles from entering your home's plumbing system, protecting your pipes and appliances.
- No filters to change.
Large Capacity Sediment Filters
Big Blue® Filter Housings offer the versatility to meet all of your large-capacity filtration needs, including high flow and heavy sediment applications. The extra-large housing allows for greater cartridge capacity, reducing the number of vessels required for high flow rate applications. Sumps are constructed of durable reinforced polypropylene
